About Me: Suzi Wieland

Reading has always been a big part of my life. I even won the most-pages-read award several times in my junior high English class many years ago. I started several writing projects as a kid, all in my spiral-bound notebooks, but never actually finished anything. So I took a big break from writing that lasted well into adulthood. It wasn’t until January 2010 that the writing bug finally hit big-time, and I wrote nine novels that first year. And then kept going and going.

But then it took a long time to learn how to write well, how to edit, and how to publish, which is why I didn’t release anything until 2017.

I’ve written in a variety of genres, including horror, thriller and suspense, and women’s fiction, and have even dipped into fantasy slightly with my fairytale retellings. I’ve also written a lot of contemporary young adult stories.  They’re not as dark, but they’re stories of teens surviving life, love, and an occasional bad decision. (Okay, lots of bad decisions.)

My non-writing life includes my family and friends, my sweet and fluffy dog, and an awesome job editing with CookieLynn Publishing. (Lucky me gets paid to read!)
